Happy 2nd Blog Birthday to Eleventh & Sixteenth

Yup, today is the day my blog turns two! Now celebrating my second blogiversay it’s almost kind of a surreal feeling looking back and realizing that you have dedicated two years of your life to a blog. Majority of people that I meet don’t really understand the concept of blogging, let alone devoting a significant amount of my time into the work and creativity that goes into creating a blog.Even some people close to me didn’t understand why I was dedicating so much time to my blog. However, Eleventh & Sixteenth isnt just a blog, or this place I store my images and random thoughts, it’s my creative release. [Read more…]

Summer Floral Print

Floral Print Dress

Kohl’s released a MILLY collaboration with Design Nation a few months back, and needless to say, I was a bit late to the game. I saw it here and there online but it never really grabbed my attention. It wasn’t until I actually saw the collection in person that I felt like maybe I should give it a go. In most cases, I am not one to be fearful of trying something on just based off how it looks on the hanger. This dress must have caught me on an off day because this was an exception.  I don’t know if it was the bright and bold floral print or the scuba material but something about this dress confused me. If the waist isn’t too large, the rear is too small, or vice versa, and I find myself working up a sweat trying on nearly every size and style in the store and ultimately end up leaving empty handed. Summer Sneakers

Summer Sneakers

I know I am probably one of the worlds biggest advocates for high heels, and for good reason. Over the course of my early twenties, I had to come to the realization that I was never going to grow taller than 5’4, and for that simple truth I have learned to appreciate high heels for their flattering benefits. The truth is, as much as I love a pair of heels, I also equally love myself a good pair or pair(s) of sneakers.  [Read more…]

Kenzo Shirt

Kenzo Striped Shirt

Through my endless closet purges throughout the year, I have been getting rid of a significant amount of tops. Coming to realize that majority of tops I used to own were far from classics, and essentially just seasonal trends. Making me realize why I dreaded trying to find an outfit each time I walked into my closet. Even dressing casually I was left with work wear options or the same few shirts I would continuously have in rotation. Which made shopping for shirts my main focus, after I had recognized the problem. [Read more…]
