Spring Styles with Jenabelle

Peach Jacket

Back in November, I was contacted by an empowering female-run company. Jenabelle began in the summer of 2014. They are currently based in NYC, but only provide eCommerce at the moment. The staff at Jenabelle are friendly and provide great fashion options, at great prices. Their motto is Fun. Affordable. Fashion. So, obviously, I was obsessed with them from the start. From this killer pale pink jacket I picked up, to an amazing red/gold two piece I could see myself rocking in Vegas, Jenabelle really has amazing options for any type of girl.

Currently, they’re running a promotion for 25% off your order with code JB25 and free shipping over $49! What is there not to love, especially when you should be stocking up on all their new spring styles?! I encourage everyone to pop over to their page and show this amazing new clothing store some love. I’m certain you won’t be disappointed!

Patent Leather Please

Leather Jacket

As my black phase continues, I have been purchasing much more patent leather. Living in Utah, you never really know what kind of weather you are going to get each day, which has fueled my deep love for patent leather. Snow and rain have certainly ruined multiple suede/leather bags and shoes in my past. RIP.

Patent leather is not only weather proof, but stands out against just a sea of flat black. Adding high shine and durability is clearly what sells me every time. Most people are fearful of too much patent coming off as cheap, but small hints in your footwear or just in panels on your clothing (like my Muubaa jacket) can easily give a different texture to a classic wardrobe staple.

Tulle Dress

Leather Jacket

Tulle has become a trend that has stuck around far longer than I would have ever expected. Granted, who can resist a little piece of their Disney princess childhood when they put on a full tulle skirt or even a tulle dress.

I picked up this tulle grey number over the summer for a few bachelorette festivities. Seeing it hang in my closet on a lonely winter turned spring morning I decided it was time to take it for another go around. My leather jacket helped transition a fun party dress into a more suitable look for the season and the thigh high boots certainly helped as well, giving my feminine dress a little edge. I usually find tulle being worn in an extremely girlie form, so doing something different with this popular piece was a bit more up my alley and apparently fitting, seeing as how I am in a dark and moody black phase all of a sudden. I must be too tulle for school – pun intended!
