Currently I am packing up my weekend bag and heading into the mountains for a 4th of July cabin getaway. Loading the car with random wilderness essentials, I will be somewhat out of dodge for the weekend. Although I may not be close to a computer, I always find a way to document my daily activities on my social media. Whether that be through snap shots on Instagram, posting shopping deals and recipes on my Facebook, pinning to my lemon board, or quoting the occasional live tweet through twitter, I never seem to completely disconnect. I am not sure if most people are dealing with this insane heat wave that has taken over, but it has completely altered the way I want to dress this summer. As much as I love jeans, light jackets, and layering, I have steered away from wearing any of these items in the last few weeks. Happy Hump Day!
When I received this amazing light weight floral skirt, I couldn’t resist pairing it with a striped sweater. For as much as I love coordinating pieces and outfits my love for mixing prints is also an interesting one. Over the last few years I have certainly started to take a much more minimal approach to everyday dress, yet certain bold style choices always seem to be on my radar.
